Melbourne’s RMIT University is justifiably well-known for its provision of excellent training to future lighting, sound, and production workers. Its delivery of Diplomas, Certificate IVs, and short courses in Live Production and Technical Services are an exemplar in the sector, and its graduates find themselves welcomed by professionals on their entry into the workforce. That’s why she recently updated RMIT’s teaching equipment with two High End Systems HedgeHog 4X lighting consoles.

32 Hundred Lighting’s Managing Director Iain Reed has been a busy man; he’s recently overseen huge installations he created duringVividSydney, including the gigantic ‘Harbour Lights’ project that used GPS to coordinate lighting changes on commercial ships and Sydney ferries covered in LEDs as they move through the harbour.
He also collaborated with artist Joe Cox on ‘Colours of Remembrance’, lighting King’s Cross’s El Alamein Fountain as part of the multiple installations and sculptures in the precinct. Both projects made excellent use of the dazzlingly brightTMBSolaris Flare IP, the IP65 rated wash that kicks out (appropriately) 32,000 lumens!
